Help with Downloading pictures

The high-resolution versions of the pictures are in JPEG (.jpg) format.

The images contained on this web site can be downloaded and used for viewing and printing.

You can save the image to disk without displaying it on your browser.

PC: put the mouse over the desired link (Hi res or Medium res )below the thumbnail, then click the right mouse button and a menu will appear with the option 'Save target as' or in early versions of Netscape 'Save Link As'. Select this and another box will appear asking you where to save the file. Select a location and click OK.

Macintosh: hold down the 'Control' button to produce a pop-up menu, select the item 'Download Link to Disk' and another box will appear asking you where to save the file. Select a location and click OK.

Tip:
(Do NOT select SAVE PICTURE AS or you will only save the thumbnail)

PLEASE NOTE:
Some older versions of Internet Explorer will try to save the images as bitmaps (.bmp) If this happens let the picture download then from your picture editing software open it as a bitmap and then to convert to a jpeg .jpg) click on 'FILE' then 'SAVE AS', select '.jpg' from the available file formats. This will convert the file to a jpeg.
